Chef Glenn Wheeler Biography

Chef Glenn Wheeler was born in Los Angeles and raised in the Chicago - Northwest Indiana area. Chef Glenn started his career in Michigan City, Indiana at the age of fifteen. Chef Glenn had worked in New Orleans before moving to Omaha in 1993. In Omaha, Chef Glenn Wheeler has been opening chef, and co-owner of several top restaurants in the city. Chef Glenn now presides over the kitchen at the Liberty Tavern, which is located in the new Omaha Hilton Convention Center. Chef Glenn's cuisine is regional American with modern influences. Chef Glenn sources out small artisan farmers and cheese makers to supply his restaurant. Liberty Tavern has been voted one of the top ten restaurants in Omaha.Chef Wheeler is active in Share Our Strength, Chef's Collaboration, James Beard Foundation and many other community events.
