Chef Colin Duggan Biography

Chef Colin Duggan was born in Rapid City South Dakota and raised in Omaha Nebraska. Chef Colin was exposed to the culinary world at a very young age through his mother’s independent catering company, and began his career working in Omaha area restaurants at the age of 16. A burgeoning interest in exotic foods took Chef Colin next to Melbourne Australia where he studied Asian cuisine at the renowned William Angliss Institute by day and prepared authentic Italian cuisine in Ligon street (Melbourne’s little Italy) by night. Chef Colin’s next stop upon returning to the United States was Boston Massachusetts where he spent time in the kitchen of the world famous Anthony’s Pier 4 restaurant. Back in Omaha, Chef Colin helped to open the Hilton convention center hotel and quickly worked his way up the ladder. Chef Colin now presides over the kitchen at the Liberty Tavern located in the new Hilton promenade at the Branson Landing. Chef Colin’s cuisine is as diverse as his experience while remaining deeply rooted in his Midwestern upbringing. Celebrating regional diversity, Chef Colin is constantly designing seasonal menus, and looking to small artisan farmers and cheese makers to supply the Liberty Tavern with the freshest ingredients available.
